La sesi\u00f3n, en la que participaron l\u00edderes de InsectBiotech, Mobius Farms, Sustainable Wine Roundtable (SWR) y un viticultor del valle de Barossa, se centr\u00f3 en la producci\u00f3n, el perfil de nutrientes, los ensayos de campo y el impacto en la sostenibilidad del uso de los desechos de la BSF para reciclar los residuos de las bodegas y mejorar la salud del suelo de los vi\u00f1edos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre los ponentes y las \u00e1reas tratadas figuran:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tobias Webb, cofundador de <a href=\"https:\/\/insectbiotech.eu\/es\/\">InsectBiotech<\/a>que presidi\u00f3 la reuni\u00f3n y habl\u00f3 de c\u00f3mo InsectBiotech est\u00e1 fabricando Black Soldier Fly Frass, bajo la marca \"Resiligrow\" en Andaluc\u00eda, Espa\u00f1a, y lo est\u00e1 probando actualmente en vi\u00f1edos de Europa y con productores de fruta.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris y Jeannine Malcolm, de Mobius Farms (Australia), comentaron su nuevo trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n, basado en I+D y ensayos de campo, que acaba de publicarse. Descargar el informe <a href=\"https:\/\/mobiusfarms.com\/blog\/closing-the-loop-how-black-soldier-fly-larvae-are-revolutionizing-viticulture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cerrar el c\u00edrculo: C\u00f3mo las larvas de la mosca soldado negro est\u00e1n revolucionando la viticultura<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tammy Schutz de <a href=\"https:\/\/schutzbarossa.com\/\">Schutz Barossa<\/a>Tambi\u00e9n se uni\u00f3 a nosotros una empresa familiar de vi\u00f1edos y vinos del valle de Barossa, en Australia Meridional, para hablar de c\u00f3mo est\u00e1n probando la escarcha en los vi\u00f1edos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde el <a href=\"https:\/\/swroundtable.org\/\">Mesa redonda sobre vino sostenible<\/a>, una plataforma mundial de colaboraci\u00f3n para la sostenibilidad del vino, el Dr. Peter Stanbury habl\u00f3 de la necesidad y la demanda de este tipo de innovaciones por parte de los miembros de SWR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Estos son algunos de los puntos clave del seminario web, que cont\u00f3 con unos 50 participantes de todo el mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Introducci\u00f3n a la biotecnolog\u00eda de insectos<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>InsectBiotech pretende explotar cinco granjas de BSF en 2031, aprovechando la energ\u00eda solar y los residuos de las almazaras como materia prima en Andaluc\u00eda (Espa\u00f1a).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La empresa ha reunido $4,5 millones de capital y busca otros $6 millones para construir su primera instalaci\u00f3n a gran escala de producci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas, aceite y desechos de FBS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se est\u00e1n realizando pruebas y ensayos iniciales de productos centrados en la agricultura, la alimentaci\u00f3n de mascotas y, sobre todo, la viticultura. IB est\u00e1 utilizando residuos de aceituna y orujo de uva en las pruebas de producci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I+D y colaboraci\u00f3n industrial<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mobius Farms y sus socios acad\u00e9micos han demostrado que las larvas de la BSF convierten eficazmente el orujo de uva (residuos de las bodegas) en abono de alta calidad, ofreciendo una alternativa sostenible al compostaje convencional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre las principales conclusiones figuran las siguientes: Las borras de BSF neutralizan la acidez del orujo de uva, tienen un contenido superior en nutrientes (sobre todo nitr\u00f3geno y potasio) y reducen las emisiones de carbono en comparaci\u00f3n con el compostaje o la eliminaci\u00f3n en vertederos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se comprob\u00f3 que el nivel de macronutrientes y materia org\u00e1nica de las melazas era superior al del compost tradicional y se aproximaba al valor nutritivo de los fertilizantes comerciales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ensayos en vi\u00f1edos y resultados<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En los ensayos de campo realizados en el valle de Barossa (2024-2025) se est\u00e1n aplicando desechos en distintas proporciones para evaluar los efectos sobre la salud del suelo en comparaci\u00f3n con los controles est\u00e1ndar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los primeros resultados indican beneficios como la mejora de la retenci\u00f3n de la humedad del suelo, el suministro de nutrientes de liberaci\u00f3n lenta y el potencial para aumentar la resistencia de las plantas gracias a su contenido en quitina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las investigaciones en curso se centran en la aplicaci\u00f3n \u00f3ptima, el efecto de la quitina en la resistencia a las enfermedades, el comportamiento del potasio en los suelos y una mayor validaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contexto de mercado y sostenibilidad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Mesa Redonda del Vino Sostenible est\u00e1 impulsando normas de sostenibilidad pr\u00e1cticas y basadas en pruebas en el sector vitivin\u00edcola mundial, utilizando un Protocolo de Viticultura Sostenible para impulsar la acci\u00f3n. Se destac\u00f3 el uso de la biomasa como un \u00e1rea prometedora. El Dr. Stanbury se\u00f1al\u00f3 que las emisiones de los vi\u00f1edos son significativas y que tanto productores como minoristas y otros agentes quieren reducirlas. En este sentido, los desechos de BSF podr\u00edan desempe\u00f1ar un papel clave, junto con la mejora de la salud del suelo y de las plantas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El compromiso con los productores y el intercambio de conocimientos se consideran claves para acelerar la adopci\u00f3n en el sector vitivin\u00edcola, y se esperan nuevos avances y planes detallados de SWR sobre viticultura para finales de 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Pr\u00f3ximos pasos estrat\u00e9gicos para InsectBiotech, Mobius Farms y SchurtzBarossa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continuar\u00e1n los ensayos anuales y plurianuales, centrados en la validaci\u00f3n sobre el terreno, el an\u00e1lisis microbiano del suelo y el desarrollo de productos (incluida la frass l\u00edquida).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Insect Biotech planea reforzar las asociaciones industriales, promover el intercambio de conocimientos y construir su comunidad de pr\u00e1cticas como parte de su estrategia de ampliaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El pr\u00f3ximo seminario web est\u00e1 previsto para diciembre de 2025, y en \u00e9l se compartir\u00e1n m\u00e1s resultados y actualizaciones de las asociaciones.
