Frederico Muzzi

Head of Entomology

Fred Muzzi brings over 16 years of experience in entomology and global consulting to InsectBiotech. An expert in sustainable food and feed production, he specialises in the innovative use of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae to convert waste into valuable resources. Having lived in seven countries, Fred has successfully scaled insect production operations from pilot projects to full-scale ventures. His experience includes leading global insect tech initiatives such as the World Mosquito Program, scaling operations at the Australian BSF startup Bardee, and consulting for leading global food companies on sustainable ingredient sourcing.
